When I was a senior in high school is about the time I developed my passion for wanting to be a teacher. I had the opportunity to be a teachers aid for our high school P.E. teacher and I had the time of my life. Being able to teach the skills of staying active and being able to interact with the students was very appealing for me and it just caught my attention. As a student I always enjoyed my P.E. classes and now being an aid to the teacher and sometimes being able to play some of the games and demonstrate to them how the teacher wants it done was very fun for me. One day he had to leave for an appointment so he let me teach a lesson on kick ball and ever since that day I have fell in love with teaching, especially teaching P.E.
As far as the grade that I would like to teach I am really not sure. I have always intended to teach the high school level but I can also see myself teaching in the elementary level. I really would just like a job so I am very open minded to teaching at any level.
I hope to learn a lot about how to use technology in the classroom this semester. I am not a very technologically educated person so a lot of this stuff is a challenge for me. So i hope to become more educated in this area and hopefully master some of the new skills we learn as a class.

Thanks for sharing your story. It is obvious that you have a passion for PE and for teaching and your enthusiasm will spread to the students in your class.
ReplyDeleteThe most important step in enjoying life is being passionate for what you do, it sounds like you are very passionate and sure of what you want to do.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Blake! It's really cool that you are passionate and have no reservations about your decision to be a teacher. You'll make a good P.E. teacher..
