Reflection #6
Every week in one of my classes we are using the smart board. But just about every week one of my professors struggle with it or a classmate. Which in reality we all struggle with technology so this isn't anything new. The other day in one of my classes we couldn't figure out two people can write at the same time. So here we are spending like 20 minutes trying to figure out what we are doing wrong when we find out that you actually can't write two at at time on the smart boards. That was frustrating. So what do you do when you have a plan that involves two people writing at the same time on the smart board? You accommodate or modify. It sounds pretty, but a lot of the time if you aren't really thinking quickly this can cause a huge void in what you are doing for that day. There are always ways around it. So we just decided to write one at a time, but we had to do it really quickly since we already wasted a lot of class time. Now that we had that solved we realize that sometimes we can actually make technology harder than it really has to be. Sometimes we take things that are really simple like we did in that class and make them 10 times harder than they are. But, as future teachers we might want to think about having some backup plans in cause things happen like this and be ready to accommodate.
